Het Al-Shifa-ziekenhuis. Volgens de moordende, verkrachtende en kinderontvoerende terreurclub Hamas een doodnormaal ziekenhuis waar mannen, vrouwen, kinderen zorg krijgen. Volgens heel veel andere mensen niet. Althans, een ziekenhuis is het wel, maar niet een doodnormale: het complex wordt door Hamas gebruikt voor de terroristische activiteiten teneinde Israël van de aardbodem te vegen. Het "ziekenhuis" is al enige dagen het centrum van de strijd van de grondoperatie in de Gazastrook; afgelopen nacht en hedenochtend hebben IDF-militairen het complex bestormd. Er zijn soldaten ín het gebouw, en tanks op het complex. IDF: "IDF forces are carrying out a precise and targeted operation against Hamas in a specified area in the Shifa Hospital, based on intelligence information and an operational necessity. (...) In recent weeks, the IDF has publicly warned time and again that Hamas' continued military use of the Shifa hospital jeopardizes its protected status under international law, and enabled ample time to stop this unlawful abuse of the hospital. Yesterday, the IDF conveyed to the relevant authorities in Gaza once again that all military activities within the hospital must cease within 12 hours. Unfortunately, they did not." WAUW. Update 07:40 - IDF deelt hun nieuwe video van van o.a. grondgevechten rondom Al Shifa Hospital.
Update 07:45 - Nieuwe IDF-dronevideo toont naar verluidt aan hoe Israëlische soldaten vergezeld door Arabisch sprekende soldaten "medische apparatuur", waaronder "couveuses en babyvoeding" naar Al Shifa's kinderafdeling brengen. Dat gebeurt écht met gevaar voor eigen leven natuurlijk - wat is dit voor een oorlog man.

Update 08:55 - Ah, inderdaad echt, en MEMRI vertaalt 'em: Gazaan van gevorderde leeftijd in ziekenhuis vervloekt Hamas en schopt Al-Jazeera's verslaggever nadat deze hem voortijdig afkapt.
Update 09:27 - Verslaggever van het Israëlische i24News deelt nu deze beelden naar verluidt vanuit het Al Shifa Hospital zelf, ten tijde van de IDF-inname. "The IDFs “precise and targeted operation” inside Gaza’s Shifa hospital continues, as Palestinians report Israeli forces asking people inside the hospital to evacuate. The IDF says its forces came under fire before entering the hospital and eliminated at least five terrorists. No soldiers were hurt." Mocht dat laatste inderdaad kloppen, dan volbrengt de IDF hun moeilijkste taak tot nu toe dus eigenlijk op wonderbaarlijke wijze.
Update 09:47 - Het doorgaans goed ingevoerde Gaza Report schrijft zojuist: "This morning the Israeli commandos continue searching in the western wards of Al Shifa and they are in contact with some of the patients. he Israelis also made calls for all displaced persons who are not sick to relocate to the eastern courtyard and prepare for evacuation."
Update 10:03 - Hey, novum wel. "A fuel truck has reportedly entered Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. Israel said it is allowing fuel to enter Gaza to refuel UN vehicles."

Update 10:08 - IDF kondigt hun nieuwe (nu bijna dagelijkse) humanitaire pauzes aan: "To the residents of Tal Al-Hawa, Al-Sabra, Al-Zeitoun, Al-Gharbi, Darj Al-Tuffah, Al-Shuja’iyya and Jabalia, the evacuation corridors will remain open until 16:00 for civilians through the Salah Al-Din route southward of Wadi Gaza. There will be a tactical pause of military operation for humanitarian purposes between 10:00-14:00 in the the neighborhoods of Al-Salam and Al-Nour. During this time, civilians should move south to the Salah Al-Din route."
Update 10:22 - IDF-woordvoerder Daniel Hagari bevestigt wat we al wisten, dat de IDF actief is in het Shifa-ziekenhuis. "A precise and targeted operation is being carried out against Hamas in a very specific area of the Shifa Hospital. We have soldiers trained specifically for this situation, and continue to reiterate we are ONLY at war with Hamas. We continue to do everything in our power to mitigate the risk to civilians."
Update 11:07 - Zeer mogelijk zien we hier de eerste videobeelden van IDF special forces die couveuses  en" andere medische hulpgoederen" afleveren bij Hamas-hoofdkwartier Al Shifa Hospital.
Update 11:19 - Bijzonder tweetje van Afhganistan/Pakistan-kenner Faran Jeffery: "As a non-Israeli, I'm finding it very hard to wrap my head around this. So there are still Israeli Jewish babies being kept in captivity in Gaza. But Israel is going above and beyond trying to save the lives of.....Palestinian babies? Literally no other country would be doing this in such a situation. None. I can bet my life on that. This is all a bit insane."

Update 11:43 - De NOS schreef vanochtend 15 november om 09:10 dus nog: "Het valt niet te verifiëren of het leger ook daadwerkelijk die goederen naar het ziekenhuis brengt." En dat terwijl Yorrick de Vries met in bio "Freelance OSINT voor @NOS_OSINT en @NOS" op maandag 13 november om 11:39 al berichtte: "IDF plaatst jerrycans met brandstof voor Shifa ziekenhuis op het kruispunt van Al Mukhtar met Al-Nasr straat. Geolocatie: 31.520432, 34.443504, @GeoConfirmed." Hoe kan dat toch steeds.
Update 12:44 - Ah, hier de eerste videobeelden van die eerste vrachtwagens met brandstof die Gaza vanuit Egypte betreden.
Update 13:43 - Lol deze BBC-verontschuldiging hey. "As BBC News covered initial reports that Israeli forces had entered Gaza's main hospital, we said that "medical teams and Arab speakers" were being targeted. This was incorrect and misquoted a Reuters report. We should have said IDF forces included medical teams and Arabic speakers for this operation. We apologize for this error, which fell below our usual editorial standards."
Update 14:06 - Significante ontwikkeling: "Qatari mediators were on Wednesday seeking to negotiate a deal between Hamas and Israel that includes the release of around 50 civilian hostages from Gaza in exchange for a three-day ceasefire. (...) Hamas has agreed to the general outlines of this deal, but Israel has not and it is still negotiating the details, the official said. It is not known how many Palestinian women and children Israel would release from its jails as part of the agreement under discussion."
