Terugkijken: Trump danst YMCA met Saoedische kroonprins, ontmoet Syrische leider Al-Sharaa

Na het Saoedische podium te bestijgen met het lied God Bless the USA waar de Saudi's 2,5 minuut lang voor in 't gelid staan, kun je natuurlijk alleen maar vertrekken met het evenzo oorverdovend heteroseksuele strijdlied YMCA van The Village People. Z'n speech zelf was ook opmerkelijk trouwens. Hij wil: vrede, handel, een non-nucleair Iran en bovenal plaatselijke culturele zelfbeschikking in plaats van liberaal-democratisch denktank-interventionisme.
In zijn kielzog kwamen ook bijna alle grote CEO's langs om tijdens deze "trillion dollar trip" een handje te schudden met de kroonprins, te weten die van Blackrock, NVIDIA, ADM, OpenAI en Palantir. En alsof het vredesfestijn nog niet groot genoeg was ontmoette hij Syrische leider de rechtgeleide (op de slachtingen van Alawieten en Druzen buiten zijn directe schuld om na) Ahmed Al-Sharaa ook nog eens persoonlijk - terwijl hij 6 maanden geleden nog $10 miljoen op z'n voorhoofd had staan. Trump beschreef hem in Air Force One vervolgens als volgt: "Young, attractive guy, tough guy. Strong past, very strong past — fighter. He's got a real shot at holding it together." Komt er dus toch een Trump Tower midden in Damascus? Zeer wel mogelijk.
Inmiddels is Trump in Qatar, alwaar de vredeskaravaan met zwaarddansen, kamelen, paarden en rode Cybertrucks voortgezet wordt. Trump is overigens de eerste Amerikaanse president die Qatar bezoekt, hetgeen ze zeer vereert en mogelijk een zeer positieve weerslag gaat hebben op Qatars rol in de Gaza-oorlog. Heel veel meer beeld na de breek.
