Geslaagde aanval of niet?

CNN schrijft op basis van drie bronnen die het schaderapport van het Pentagons Defense Intelligence Agency gelezen hebben, het volgende: "Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium was not destroyed. One of the people said the centrifuges are largely “intact.” Another source said that the intelligence assessed enriched uranium was moved out of the sites prior to the US strikes. “So the (DIA) assessment is that the US set them back maybe a few months, tops,” this person added." 

Trump ontkent deze lezing met het gedicht: "FAKE NEWS CNN, TOGETHER WITH THE FAILING NEW YORK TIMES, HAVE TEAMED UP IN AN ATTEMPT TO DEMEAN ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MILITARY STRIKES IN HISTORY. THE NUCLEAR SITES IN IRAN ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYED! BOTH THE TIMES AND CNN ARE GETTING SLAMMED BY THE PUBLIC!" Het is onduidelijk op welke bronnen hij zich baseert, en hoe deze het vermeende Pentagon-rapport tegenspreken.

Pentagon-woordvoerder Sean Parnell zet er wel het volgende citaat van een 'senior DIA official' tegenover: "This is a preliminary, low confidence report & will continue to be refined as additional intelligence becomes available. We are working with the appropriate authorities to investigate the unauthorized disclosure of classified information." Ja, wat is het nou? Dat zal komende dagen toenemend blijken.

Ondertussen claimt ook Netanyahu de overwinning tijdens de 'wapenstilstand' en prees Trump, een paar uur nadat Trump Netanyahu de wind van voren gaf over Israëls hernieuwde offensief, nadat Iran 1 ballistische raket vuurde tijdens de wapenstilstand.

Update 08:06 - Een teken dat Iran voornemens is de wapenstilstand intact te houden: het land organiseert zaterdag een staatsbegrafenis voor tientallen gedode commandanten en wetenschappers.
