Eind september bleek dat Jordan Peterson opgenomen was wegens Clonazepam-ontwenningsverschijnselen. Z'n vrouw die hij al vanaf zijn 7e kent had kanker, hij trok het allemaal niet, en toen keerden een verhoogde dosis medicijnen zich ook nog eens tegen hem. Vervolgens hoorden we een tijdje niets, postte hij af en toe iets generieks op Twitter, en met enig regelmaat oude quotes + foto's op Instagram (al is het zeer waarschijnlijk dat zijn dochter Mikhaila dat deed). We dachten dus dat het sinds die opname allemaal wel weer bergopwaarts ging. Maar zoals nu blijkt uit de bovenstaande gisteravond gedropte update, lag dat allemaal iets moeilijker dan het leek.

The uncertainty around his recovery has been one of the most difficult and scary experiences we've ever had.*"
